Some guitar players just want to play modes NOW- not devote years to studing music theory. After learning music theory to the point of playing modes, I soon realized that there is a way to explain how to play all these modes in every key simply by counting frets. I developed this Modes Method in 1986, and have been using this approach in my lead playing ever since. I can show you how to play this way in just minutes. After years of playing by ear I FINALLY understand modes! And finally understand how players can play the primary scale fingering at the 10th fret over an A minor bed.
